An eternal portrait

I was surprised but honoured when I was asked to do an 'official' portrait shoot of my sister-in-law's parents. They are a lovely couple, and I was pleased to be asked - and then I found out why they want it... It's for the headstone on their grave when they die talk about thinking ahead... It's made me rather sad about doing the portrait now

Has anyone else ever been asked to do something like this?

I've been asked to take portraits of terminal children. Thats a tough one

At least you'll know your work will be on display for the next 100 years or more.

Windrider - I think that's an even tougher assignment than mine - at least the couple I'm photographing are coming to the end of their 'normal' lifespan... Terminally ill children must be so gutty.
