To autofocus in the dark my camera needs to "flash" the flash lamp. But this requires that the flash be up, and in S/A/P/M mode that causes it to automatically go off when shooting.
For automatic mode I need to manually set the flash settings in the menu, but I still can't take advantage of the autofocus w/ light without the flash going off as well. Has anyone else met with a similar problem? I can't seem to find a workaround...aside from manual focus...or focusing then turning the flash off... I was trying to shoot pics of a cat in the dark and it kept moving around so it was hard to focus, and the pics would always come out weird with flash. |
