Default I am seeing spots!!!

Okay I'm not sure where this thread should go so forgive me if it is not in the correct place.

Saturday I was out taking pictures of friends with my Rebel T1i with the 18-55mm lens. The lighting was perfect and I thought that they turned out rather lovely considering we were just messing around.

I uploaded them to my computer and when I zoomed in to about only 50% I noticed that the images were grainy with reddish and greenish speckles. The images are nice and sharp but this Christmas theme speckle is driving me crazy!! It has never happened to me before and I have no idea what I did to make that happen.

Do any of you have an idea of what this could be? And how do I make sure it doesn’t happen again!

Thanks!!!!

Noise, turn down your ISO.

Sounds like noise, what iso did the camera use? I suspect it may have been high

And to fix it there's a free widget called Noiseware (for those of us too cheap to pay for Noise Ninja - )

In daylight you don't really need to go beyond ISO 200-400 (depending on shade, sunny areas etc).

If you're in harsh sunlight then it's pretty much ISO 100.

I think it's noise. Turn your ISO to the lowest setting for the best results. In bright light turn to the lowest setting.

Please post a detailed rundown of how you took the photo, the settings you used, who was in it and what beer you were drinking...

Ya'll are making me feel so stupid!! Haha oh my goodness! Okay, since I hadn't changed my settings from my last shoot I naturally assumed that all of my settings were the same. Apparently my ISO was at 800... oh dear and I call myself a photographer! Serves me right for not checking my settings beforehand, thankfully it wasn’t a clients photos!

nickbedford- Hahaha!!! Funny, funny. I seriously laughed out loud at that... Probably because I'm a minor. LOL I wouldn't drink anyways ewwwww :P
