Bummed

I did a maternity shoot recently and I was supposed to do newborn pics of the baby. He was born on Oct 20th. The first week after he was born, I had a terrible head cold and bad cough, so I was not comfortable being around a newborn. The 2nd week, probably every two days one of my kids was sick with a stomach bug, throwing up and stuff. Again, I did not feel comfortable being around him and potentially exposing him to the germs. We are pretty much all healthy now, but as of today, the baby is two weeks old. I have no time the rest of this week because A. I got really behind on stuff because of taking care of sick kids. B. My middle son's birthday is this weekend and I have done zero preparation for his party.
Now by the time I get to photograph him, he's going to be three weeks old.
I am still going to do the photos, but I guess they won't be what I had envisioned.
Have you ever encountered a situation like this? Having to constantly postpone?

Well I am certain that they would rather wait than have their child be sick.

Not in the same context I have had some of these shoots. Some of them were even so far put off as to be slated for well......... never. I hate it when I must abandon a shoot because of unforeseen circumstances.
