... I broke down and bought a new machine.
[Bragging session] HP Pavilion Elite HPE-410f Desktop PC | HP® Official Store These were the selling points to me. - 6 cores - 8 gigs DDR3 - 1 gig ATI video card I've been doing ALL of my work, "real life work" and photo work on a 3 year old lap top with bare minimum specs. I used some advance money I got for a side project I'm doing to buy the machine. However, my experience has proved that you don't need a fancy schmancy computer to make a quality product. I've had 3 magazine cover images! That should be proof enough ![]() [/brag] ~Eric |

Very nice! Not bad price either.

You don't, I agree, but I certainly feel the pain sometimes when running 350 18mb RAW files through Lightroom 3 on a mid-spec 13" MacBook Pro even with 4GB ram (which is my only computer). I'm about to upgrade to 8GB which should shut it up for a while.

Be careful, dual monitors lead to the opposite of being crosseyed. |
