Default Just Keeps Getting BETTER!

Well, it started about a month ago when the CEO of the division of the company I work for asked if I could take some photos of the complex for him. We agreed on a price and I came in on a Saturday and shot for about 2 hours. After a few hours of PP, I was pretty pleased with the outcome and posted the shots on my zenfolio site so the boss could check them out and let me know what he thought.

In the meantime, I got an email from Tamron, the were having a thing on facebook, like them and sign up for their e-newsletter and be entered in a drawing for a couple different lenses, t-shirts, gift certificates, or magazines subscriptions. The email was to inform me that I had won the Tamron 18-250mm lens. WOO-HOO! Got the lens last Friday. It now resides on my XT/350D.

Yesterday, I got an email from the boss, he finally got a chance to check the photos and he loves them all and wants to order some prints. GREAT! This afternoon, I got a chance to speak to him about what he would like, and he said he needs prints, LOTS of prints. BIG prints, framed and ready to hang on the wall. The best part, corporate is paying the bill, so price is not important. We're talking 15-20, 20"x24" prints. Oh, and he wants some smaller ones, 16x20, to send to some of the big-wigs at the home office for Christmas.

To sum it all up, right now I'm in a pretty good mood.

I hate to sound like I'm tooting my own horn, but I just had to tell somebody.

Mark

Great luck on the lens and great work on the shots (care to share any?). Congratulations.

Edit: PS. you're right to shout it out loud, good news is good news and should be shared to make everybody feel good.
