Default Number 1 at 1

Candidrachael's '80s music thread led me to look up some '80s number ones, which in turn made me find out what was the UK number 1 when I turned 1. Then I thought it'd be interesting to find out what was number 1 when you lot were 1, because well...it's a catchy thread title.

Mine was the Pet Shop Boy's cover of Always on My Mind. (Hell yeah!)

So what was the number 1 single in your country when you turned 1?

For the fourth straight week on the countdown, rounding out the month of April, 1976; YouTube - Johnnie Taylor - Disco Lady

On a side note, does that sound like it could be a porno soundtrack?

When I turned one, it was "Joy To The World" by Three Dog Night. No wonder I've always loved that song.

Now I want to go buy a pet frog and name him Jeramiah.

Okay, we're dating ourselves here I see. Definitely not my favorite song and one that I would NEVER try to sing in public:

The Lion Sleeps Tonight - The Tokens
