Default Hide Flicker photo from contacts.

Hi,

Does anyone know if its possible to hide a photo from a very select few contacts. While keeping it open to the rest of the contacts.

My family use flickr to get new photos of their grandchild. However I'm intending to take a few pictures that I would be embarrassed for them to see.

Any suggestions?

Wes

Hey Wes, you will have to go in and tweak your contact list and mark them as friends or family. Then when you upload the photos that you want don't want your family to see, mark them to viewable by friends only. That is the only way I know of.

Are you sure that will work? I thought family was a subset of friends - in other words family can see everything but friends can't not the other way around - but I have been wrong before

You could be right, but I checked on one of my own photos, and it had a separate tick box for you only, friends, and family. If it is like you say, it's rather confusing.
Going back for another look!

Edit: Yep, it's separate. Here is the link to the FAQ page.
