Aww, that is sad. Yeah, I am a big baby like that. It makes me sad to watch Discovery Channel shows were animals attack other animals.

It is the way of the natural world; bears too have to eat. Winter in Yellowstone is called, The dying time.”

The predators who pick off the weak and injured from a herd actually improve the health of the herd as a whole, although it's not pretty to watch.

If you like that shot, have you seen the best predator/prey video involving lions, crocs and buffalo?

In nature, anything that moves is on the food chain.

Reports are that the bear had not, in fact, mauled the bison. The bison was molting and had been startled by the bear who, seeing the bison in such a state, thought "hey, easy meal" and chased it.

Either way, that's one helluva shot.

Pfsss, that is a bit more than "molting".

Of course they can't say that the bison was attacked, half eaten, dying, or whatever...they still need people to visit the park......................so lets take a "politically correct" approach and sugarcoat it with molting!!!!!
I hate politically correct things.

I see the bear as a capitalist
It saw an opportunity and seized upon it! I like

I guess this would be akin to me not liking irrelevant diatribe.
If you were truly interested in what happened instead of being so "opportunistic", you could have done some research.

It is always easier to trash talk without context rather than look at the whole story. Did it really not occur to anyone that this guy just might be shooting a DSLR and rapid firing?

My first question was "where are the rest of the photos?"

In my latest critique submission I saw what happens first hand when people don't have a reference or context.

I did do some research jackass. My comment had nothing to do with if the bear actually caught the bison.

Talk about some irrelevant diatribe.
