Cue the media blaming video games and FB.

Which, naturally, have NOTHING to do with this woman's inability to cope with addiction

The media is blaming video games and facebook? Read that again, the media is reporting what happened and what is being said.

Very sad story. That poor baby never had a chance.

O lordy I do wish the nanny state would go away and common sense and personal responsibility prevailed.

Well this article did say:

Quote:
"Needless to say, it is Ms. Tobias — and not the game itself — that is responsible for the death of her 3-month-old son."
Although they did then follow with:

Quote:
"This is not the first time that a virtual game has led to murder"
Which does suggest they're blaming the game, but also still just states the fact that there was a game involved in the events.

But yeah, there's probably going to be people who just blame the game rather than the crazy person with the addictive personality.
