Default Primes...

I was just thinking - it would be fun to shoot with prime prime lenses.

Are there many fixed focal length lenses that are prime numbers?

11 13 17 19 23 29 31 37 41 43 47 53 59 61 67 71 73 79 83 89 97 101 103 107 109 113 127 131 137 139 149 151 157 163 167 173 179 181 191 193 197 199

Certainly zoom lenses pass through the primes - but, I think it would be fun to shoot with a prime prime.

- note to self, someone at pentax must be a Prime freak.

If I could have a prime prime, I think i`d choose a 41mm or a 131mm. 41 seems like a nice, slightly wider than the nifty fifty - and 131 - well, palindromes are cool, and 191 is too close to my 180 =D - though i`d consider trading my 180 for a 191 - palindromes are cool after all

Freaky indeed...

...but Pentax primes, especially the Limiteds, are one of the corner stones of the platform. Until I actually held them and used them, I never understood what people meant... but the first time you slip that velvet lined cap off of that firm, solid metal body.. sigh. You never forget your first time
