Weird, I know.....I was going to make it like a "Sasha Fierce" situation but I'm not talented or organized enough to have an alter ego. I think I'd end up more like Jekyll and Hyde.

I switched my name because I don't like people to google my name and have my dps comments and posts show up. So there you go.

I just shot a large series of photos dealing with the death of my brother. I submitted a portion to a photo competition and I'm posting the link so I can share it with my dps peeps.

Pleeeeeeease don't critique it, at least not right now.....I'm already feeling a certain amount of anxiety just by putting it out there. But I do want to know what you like. (Trust me, soon enough I'll be wanting to pick it apart and I'll let you guys help me)

Well, you just connected your new DPS user name with your real name so anyone who googles your real name will still come across this post and be able to then follow on to your posts under your user name. The same thing goes with the link you posted that contains your name.

I live pretty much by the rule if I don't want anyone to see it, I won't type it. My clients are welcome to come see all of me DPS posts, even the ones where I'm being "mean" or, heaven forbid, asking for advice that might make me look like I don't know everything.

On to the link. Even before I read the story behind them, I found the photos quite moving. I had forgotten about your previous posts and was left wondering who had been lost. I was leaning toward a child. The photos, in my not so humble opinion are superb and captivating. There is one I would leave out, but that's just me so I'll stick to telling you what I like, and that's just about everything.

Laurie, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your photos are quite powerful and emotional...well done. The invoke feelings of sorrow, anger, and hope. Good for you for using photography as an outlet.
