Default Seeing Again!

I'm seeing again! I'm quite enthused by it really. I've been suffering a bit of a "slump" for the last few months...but it seems to be over for now (until the next one).
I consciously decided to slow down and make some time for photography. Real photography, not forum participation.....and not a lot of time, just "some".

Every shot below was taken from my truck driving too and from work, except the barn,... I actually got out of the truck for that one.

Point is, all I did was SLOW DOWN! I've driven past that barn for three years now...Same for that goat and it's ALWAYS standing in that window...I took the long way home and stopped when I saw the hawk...1/2 hour later I got that shot! The mockingbird shot might have taken 10 minutes out of my day, 15 if you count driving the speed limit.

Slow down, look around, enjoy life, and maybe you too will "see again". Even if you don't, you'll probably be happier. I am.

All nice. I like the hawk, a difficult shot to get. But I love that barn scene, the colors are great. (Crazy goat.)

I know what you mean. I have been in an off and on slump for a while. Not sure why. You have some great shots here. Love the goat. He seems to be calling out to you. That last one though... wow!!! You nailed that one. You are so right... SLOW DOWN.... take time out. There are lots of things I see while driving and think "that would be a great shot" but then I just keep driving. It's pathetic, especially when the camera is sitting right next to me, safely strapped in it seatbelt .... just kidding! In any event, I am glad you stopped for these shots, they are wonderful. And they actually inspired me. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, I was hoping to inspire others!
All-in-all I lost less than 1 hr of my life for every one of those images. 20 minutes of tv show and 40 minutes of commercials I didn't watch; 2 posts less on this forum......one less unneeded thing found on ebay/craigslist...small price to pay IMO.

Yep, almost always...Talked with the owner after I took the pic...she said many people stop and take a pic of the crazy goat, and in 3+ yrs I never had.... Sad really.

Good to see you have broken out of your slump. I have yet to break mine (almost 2 weeks now). I think I will try my hand at some black and white HDRs to break it all up. Now all I have to do is find and interesting topic matter to shoot.

I'm certain there is something right in front of you every day......you just have to "see" it.

It's kind of like being a child again.....
