Default Staying away from Earning w/ Photography

I think I've gotten myself into a place in the Earning with Photography forum that I dont want to be in. My problem is that I like to at least try and help people. My intentions are good, I promise. But I dont think that I'm really in any position to be offering advice, considering that I dont make a living from my photography. Its more or less just my suggestions. So I think I'm gonna just stay away from Earning with Photography and stick to the forums that I usually frequent. Like this one!

Hey! I've read your replies and think that your opinions, suggestions and everything else are just as valid and appreciated as everyone else's Just don't sweat it. Go out and take pretty pics afterall that's what the majority of this site is all about.

I don't think you should stay away from that subforum.. just pick your battles ...everyone has opinions and should be welcome to express them, but in certain cases some opinions may be more valid than others.

As is pointed out frequently, there's a reason that the Pro's make their money from photography as gruff as they sometimes may be... there's really not a lot of room for idealism and innocence when you've already 'been there, done that'. If people had a thicker skin they would learn an awful lot faster.

Photography, like any other art form is subjective.

Yes, there are pros here in many photo genres. However, some who bill themselves as “pros” are clearly not. A few have photos that only a mother could love.

Often the amateurs have the most popular photos and threads.

Earning a “living” is also subjective. Some people can live on $ 20K a year others need ten times that.

You opinion is as valid as anyone else’s. People will choose whether to take it or not.

Don’t let them scare you off! They love doing that. Makes them feel “professional.”

OK, if that's what you want to do. Not sure why you feel it necessary to announce it ...
