I was lucky enough to take part of this weeks Outside Exposure 2010, a workshop held at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops and hosted by Outside Magazine. The workshop was incredible. Everyone there from the participants to the photographers who were instructing at the event were just amazing. The three photographers that Outside rounded up were Jimmy Chin, a North Face athlete and amazing adventure photographer, Kurt Marcus, a legend in photography with amazing black and white landscapes and portraits, and Robert Maxwell, a crazy interesting guy and damn fine portrait photographer to boot.
The workshop last from Wednesday to Saturday, and involved 3 intense days of discussion, demos, assignments, critiquing, and a round of portfolio reviews to finish it off. It was a great week, and I am so happy to have met everyone there. If you have the chance to take a part of this next year, I highly recommend you do so. The Santa Fe area is a really interesting one, and has many different facets to it that make shooting fun and interesting. I am sitting in the airport waiting for my flight back to reality, but will upload some of my shots when I finally get back home and relax a bit. |
