Default Photo Blogging - References please

Does anyone know of a good place to start out in photo blogging? I know next to zip about the whole ordeal but I would like it somewhat customizable (like backgrounds and overall theme). I do know I don't want to pay the $11 a year for registrar fees to add it to my web hosting.

And yes I did do a google search on it, but still remain confused as to where to start.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about most people but I use Google's Blogger. I've been happy with it and have seen a lot of interesting photo blogs on there.

This is the link: http://www.blogger.com

and I can't resist adding my link on here as well: See the world as I do.....

Let me know if this helps any....

BTW its free!!

I use a Posterous blog hooked up to a $10/year .com domain (via the subdomain Nick Bedford's Photo Blog - Thoughts about photography as discover it.).

Posterous rocks for blogging and in-article picture galleries and whatnot.

Well I signed up for photoblog.com. I will however keep these other suggestions handy should this not be a decent venue.

Wordpress is pretty good, but not designed as a photoblog. Easy enough to alter it's format

I can definitely recommend Zaplife.com for simple photoblogging! Its free and you can customize the theme.

+1 on Wordpress. It's free and can be added to a basic website. There are tons of themes and widgets to customize the look and feel. Makes it easy to create any type of blog...well, maybe not any, but a photoblog is pretty simple. Every time I look at their most popular themes, the one keyed to photoblogging comes up on top...and of course, I don't remember the name as I don't use. it.
