I am taking my kids to a children's concert tomorrow. My friend went to the same concert today and said that you're allowed to take pictures!
So obviously I want to take my Nikon (with the 70-300mm lens) with me! But my concern is of course, the lighting. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips? I'm thinking I'll just hype up the ISO (and keep the aperture as open as possible) and hope for the best? [Edit] Oh and I'm going to shoot RAW so that'll make it much easier to brighten up any too-dark images right?

... ISO: The D80 high ISO isnt very high, and isn't very good. RAW: You can, but it makes pictures look terrible. As a general rule, you should be darkening in post.
