Default Novice needs help! Wood floor in photo has dark spots . . .

A photo I took shows some dark spots in the wood floor that weren't visible by my eye. I'm trying to figure out why. It was a wide angle lense. The spots are worse on the sides of the photo (where the flash didn't reach as much.) Any ideas? Maybe moisture in the wood?

Thanks for any help or suggestions :-)

Can you post a small version of the photo?

It's possible the flash did not reflect off those areas.

Thanks for the responses! I don't know how to get a photo on here. The only thing worse than my camera knowledge is my computer knowledge :-)

Let me re-phrase . . . . . the spots were on the wood floor but the photo makes them appear MUCH darker than my eye saw.

This might help a bit on how to post photos here on DPS

How to Post Pictures in Assignment Threads Using Flickr

Well, sort of. Flickr has changed the way that their website is set up. It's pretty easy. Even a computer N00b can figure it out.
Upload the photo to Flickr
Click on the photo thumbnail to bring it to viewing size
Above it there will be two tabs
One will say Actions, the other Share This
Click on the Share This tab and a drop down menu will appear
Click on the Grab the HTML/BB Code
This will pop up a box that has the HTML code in it.
Right click in the middle of the box and all the text should highlight in blue
Click Copy from the resulting drop down menu.
Note: Flickr should have the photo size auto set to Medium. On DPS they prefer that you use no larger than the Medium setting as the Large setting posts too big of a picture in thread.
Then right click on the Reply window and select Paste.
DO NOT change ANYTHING within the code, if you do it will not post the picture!
And VOILA! You did it!! Pat yourself on the back for a job well done!
Now see, that wasnt so hard was it?
Tip: Using tabs for the different web pages is the easiest way to do this.
