A good idea at weddings

This might be old news for some of you but it was new to me so thought I'd share.

You know how people often put throw-away cameras on the tables at wedding receptions so people can take pictures? Well, at a wedding I went to recently they'd leapt into the 21st century and simply put a little stack of blank CD-Rs, along with addressed cardboard envelopes, on instead. Thought this was a neat idea seeing as everyone and his wife has a point and shoot these days.

The bride in question is a designer and illustrator so she had the wedding stationery theme printed in colour on the CD, but blanks would do the job just as well!

You could prob even use USB memory sticks (256/512mb are probably small enough for people not to actually want to keep but big enough to get a few pics on. I would think that if you bought in bulk you could get for £1/$1 per unit and you might even be able to get them branded too. (you can get 2Gb ones on Amazon for £3) and working on a 80% return rate are easy to wipe and reuse)
