Default Calendar Printing

Hey Everybody!

We're coming into the holiday season, and for me, that means making a photos calendar for a bunch of family members. I've been doing this every christmas for about 5 years now. It started as a collection of family snapshots from the previous year but has evolved into a 12 photo, year long showcase of my best work from the past year. I've always used snapfish, or similar, which was great for the snapshots, but this year I would like something a little more professional looking... Like something you might buy in a store... with full page photos, and no scrapbooky backgrounds.

Does anyone know of a good website to use for such a calendar? a quick google reveals lots of options, but I figured someone on here would have an opinion.

Thanks!

Cool! Time to print my Thanksgiveoweenmas calendars.
I just hate the "Holiday Season" Crap the stores have got everyone saying. Im not a church nut, heck I dont even go... but why cant they just call it what it is? Its x-ma$$.

Not a dig at you at ALL Ashley... youre a victim like everyone else.

Good question in general, however - Im going to print my nondenominational winter solstice celebration calendars soon myself. I have used Blurb for photobooks, and am happy with them, but never did a calendar, so Im interested in hearing responses too...

No offense taken, but it is a 'season' full of 'holidays' so I find the title appropriate. But, I guess you could also call it the "gift giving season". And I am as much against the giving/buying just for the sake of giving/buying as you or anybody else. So I like to give homemade/personal gifts, and think a photo calendar falls into that category.

Happy Holidays! haha

Because it ISN'T just Christmas. I grew up in New York - and since I was a child (I'm talking 50 years ago and more) I was taught to wish Christians (we were Catholics as were most Christtians I knew) a Merry Christmas and to everyone else we either said Happy (whatever their holiday was, like Hannukah) and for those whose religious persuasion we did not know, we said Happy Holidays! This is not something new or suspect. When I worked in Macy's in the 60s when I was in college, we wished everyone a Happy Holiday.
I really do not understand why this is bothering people now!

I'm making calendars for my family too this year. I used photobox last year that seemed to be OK for me. I like giving calendars because they special and unique. I just about died when my mum showed mine so some pro photographer she knows Got some great feed back... phew! Hey ho!

BTW I visited your blog and you've got some really lovely photos. Cool! I like the bit about shooting everything ecxept weddings..... unless your cool!

Thanks for the photobox suggestion and the blog compliment! Weddings scare me because its way too big of a deal to most people. But if the people were cool about it, I would consider it. Not that I need them to have low expectations, I just dont want to deal with crazy people.

Congrats on the good feedback on your calendar. Other than on here, I hardly get feedback from anyone that isn't a friend or a relative. That would definitely be positive reinforcement.

Thanks for looking! I'll give your flickr page a look later (when I'm not at work )
