I took my Canon 40d out today to use and found it had crawling white things between my lcd screen and camera. I can't find any way to get them out
They are about 1/2 mm in size if even that, completely white and quite active!!!!I've looked on the net and somewhere it said they are camera mites.. what am I supposed to do with em? I've checked through the rest of my camera equipment and there's nothing there to see, so think it's just in this camera body.

I once had a scanner that I hadn't used in awhile. Imagine my surprise when I went to use it and found an active ant colony living inside!
![]() I know that doesn't help with your problem, but your post reminded me of it. Good luck with the mites, I never was able to get the ants out of the scanner.

Aha!!! Did more 'bug' research, and it said to put my camera in the deep freeze for an hour then return it to normal temperature..
I did that at half past six, took it out about twelve, put it in the fridge for an hour, then let it warm to room temperature in front of the dehumidifier, and it's working ace.. but best of all... no bugs!!!!!!
