Exclamation Bad, Rainy Weather!

I hate it!
It just not as happy as summer!
So my question to everyone is, what do you guys and girls take photos of during rainy and cold days?
This has been my rant for the day

I probably shoot 70% of my shots inside, so the weather isn't an issue.

In the past 2 months I think it's rained here 2 times. We have had a super dry summer, and fall. I've used my irrigation system more this year than in the past 6 combined.

Only had the top on my Jeep 3 times since spring, and that was just to wash it.

You're not in Brisbane, Australia are you? haha.

Our weather is abnormally rainy (due to La Nina). It sucks majorly!

When it is raining or stormy it adds atmosphere. One of the best times to shoot especially if there is good storm light around. Just have some wet weather protection for you and your camera.
Much better than those clear blue sky, and high contrast sunny days.

Examples:
(1)
Rainy Day

(2) Even good for rainy detail.
Chev detail.

(3) Light rains adds a lot of atmosphere.
Greenbrier Park Vinyards (1)

(4) And this is what I mean about storm lighting.

You can use everything from larger umbrellas/plastic bags to custom designed rain covers.

Like this.

I usually use an umbrella, if possible, and/or Optech Rain Sleves.

I buy mine off EBay.

I'm sure a store like Michael's (Melbourne) would have a good range.

Pick some flowers and try out some macro. Rainy days are good for trying out those interesting techniques like water drops or smoke photography.
We've had a sucky wet winter on this side of the ditch as well, and they do tell us that the wet weather is coming from the west.....

I have a "rainly day" photo in mind that I have yet to successfully capture and that is to take a photo from a cafe of the raindrops on the window and a busy, colourful background full of colourful umbrellas and people milling around in a busy shopping street all slightly out of focus.
