lol...I read this as I'm installing Photoshop CS5. It's been sitting on my desk for about 2 months now, and have never installed it until today.

Looking forward to seeing what I can do with it.

A lot of is made by changing the brush and pen shapes and textures. I took one of Kelby's photoshop tours and the guy that taught it was an artist and he explained how he painted with pens, brushes, channels and layers.

The book I got with the class so was detailed that it was twice the size of the normal manuals that came with the class. A lot of it has to do with changing the size, shape, and texture techniques with pens, brushes by using different filters, clipping paths, layer styles, adjustment layers and then putting it all together in layers. It's an art form in itself. I hope he can explain it in such a way that folks will understand.

What's the name of the book, Jim?

I do a bit of digi-smudge painting. That is interesting to learn. Innographx • View topic - Smudge Painting Basics

Ah, so much to do, so little time.

You've had the program for 2 months and not installed it? I have to rip open any new program and install immediately. Then again, when I get new shoes I have to wear them immediately as well!

I know a pro who had Lightroom for 2 years and didn’t even open the box. He spends his life on adjusting photos in PS—and not doing it very well either.

I think that I finally convinced him to use LR by showing examples. Now he wants to see if he can upgrade to version 3 because 2 is still in the original box.

I'm with you. New shoes must be worn immediately.
