Default What would you buy?

So, some lucky git has won £113,000,000 ($180,404,500) on the Euromillions lottery (a lottery involving 9 countries). The second biggest lottery win in the world, ever. In a normal bank account he/she will accumulate £8500 ($13,570) a day in interest.

So, what 3 things would you buy given that amount of money? Here's mine:

1. Nikon D3x with one of every kind of lens; a souped up Power Mac with the full Adobe suite, Nik Silver Effex, Photomatix and anything else you care to think of in that regard, and a screen the size of Belgium. I know better kit doesn't necessarily make better photos; screw that, I've got 113,000,000 squids!

2. An Aston Martin, Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls, Mercedes etc. One or two of each, just for giggles.

3. A mahoosive loft in NYC; a Malibu beach house; a chateau in France; a lochside castle in Scotland. Round the world tickets to visit all of them and everywhere in between, with the aforementioned D3x in tow!

Of course, I think with that much walking-around money I'd give, ooo, £25,000,000 at least to charity and a couple of million to each of my family members.

Who was it who said "I spent most of it on booze, gambling and women, and I squandered the rest"?

Me, I think I would buy a small country and spend the rest of my life going on state visits to warm, sunny countries.

I've had this dream before. In Canada we can order things directly from the Nikon order desk in Toronto. I've done it before (lower prices and next-day shipping? yes please), so this is how that conversation would go:

"Nikon order desk, how can I help you?"
You ready to make an epic commission? Pay attention
Bodies: D3x (2), D3s (2) D700 (1) + grip.
Zooms: 14-24, 16-35, 24-70, 24-120, 70-200, 200-400, 28-300
Primes: 16 fisheye, 24/1.4, 35/1.4, 50/1.4, 85/1.4, 105/2, 200/2, 400/2.8, 500/4, 600/4
Flashes: SB-900 (8 or 10 or something. A lot), R1C1 (Macro light), SU-800.
"Is that all sir?"
Yeah, that should do it.

Then it'd be a similar too to Leica and Hasselblad. Then Lowepro and then to a bunch of light modifier companies)
Then again to Lamborghini, Bentley, Nissan (Mmm, Skyline), Ferrari, Aston Martin...
Then an architect. I gotta have my loft-above-the-garage house with my camera-gear room

I'd get that apartment in Paris and then figure out the rest from there.

I'd be touring the world with my beautiful bride, having our primary residence in Hawaii, I think.

Needless to say, I don't think I'll be into work the following day.

As to what else I would be doing, that's only limited by my imagination.

I'll take one of everything, sir.

I have a friend, Billy Wagner (Atlanta Braves) He's from a small town near here called Tazewell, VA. When he signed his first multi-million dollar contract with the NY Mets, he went out and bought a new Ford Ranger pickup truck. He grew up very poor and thought that truck was the coolest thing ever. But, he now drives a Cadillac Escalade...

That's where my father's family is from. See if there are any Bryant's still in the area. My mom and dad divorced when I was two-years-old and have lost track with that side of the family.

Well, I looked through the phone book and there's about 15 or so in that area.
