Default The best shots at the wrong times

Hi guys,

This morning while walking the 15 min walk to the nearest train station to get to work (IT job)
I noticed the clouds were a beautiful red orange hue as the sun was just coming up, combined with the misty water and the local church standing there it was a GREAT SHOT. But as always unfortunately my camera was at home because there is no way im lugging that thing with me to work.

Anyone else that can relate to this ?

I get that a lot.. nothing you can do about it unless you're willing to carry a camera with you at all times (doesn't have to be your main giant camera, could be a pocket one in the bag).

I agree with Mr Jones
just carry a little small camera
then when you upload the photo
you'll still be kicking your own butt
and wishing you had your better camera
to take that better shot.
Oh well,That's life.

I carry a good P&S (Canon G11) when I am not carrying a DSLR.

My worst moments are when I'm running late somewhere and I see a great shot. Can't stop, so I just groan, and move on.

Whar's wrong with having a small P&S in your pocket...you will get a picture no matter what!

For those that consider it good enough to capture the moment regardless of the quality I guess that can solve the problem. I would rather just stop and enjoy the moment and let it pass than to shoot it with a point and shoot though. I must be picky !

They're also much more convenient when space or weight is at a premium.

I'd rather have the flexibility and quality of my DSLR. But sometimes, a P&S is exactly what the doctor ordered!
