Lately, I've been considering adding GPS capability to my Canon camera system. Anyone out there have experience with any GPS systems that can add location info to photos?
Thanks in advance.

I use my phone to add coordinates to my photos. So I basically run a GPS app and then sync that with the photos in Lightroom. It's not 100% but it usually does the job. Basically though, what I'm getting at is that anything that will export a .gpx file can easily be synced with your photos with the right software.

There's also GPICSynch. It uses a GPS tracker/logger (yours to purchase -- as long as you can attach the GPS unit to your computer and download its tracklogs), which will synch with the software, and coordinate location via time of the shot. Granted, this also requires frequent (the day of the shoot at least) adjustment of the camera's clock, to be sure it's accurate as well.
Any way, GPICSynch coordinates the time the photograph was taken with the tracklog, and automatically updates the EXIF of the photograph. |

Funny. I at least know that GPS devices are receivers and not transmitters!

I honestly have no idea. I've never used it; it's something I've seen touted a lot when I searched for GPS solutions for tagging Canon GPS options. According to this, it should:
RawFormats - gpicsync - Project Hosting on Google Code Erm, I think it's more in terms of looking where you'd been when the images are posted :P I'm also thinking possibly some sarcasm in the original statement. |

(see it is funny because you were actually being facetious)
