I believe they are the best in the business. I have never had to use one on my Canon kit bought through adorama & I have only been happy with the Adorama service

Just be careful that there is a national service centre for the product you are buying in the country where you reside.

I used to work for a very bad company called Circuit City. I sold A LOT of extended warranties...in fact, the fools that bought all those extended warranties paid my way through college.
Extended warranties are a waste of money. In theory, they sound good. "Anything goes wrong, we got you covered!". Pure BS. The truth is that if anything does go wrong, the warranty company will do everything in it's power to make your experience as miserable as possible. They'll deny payment. They won't fix it. If they do "attempt" to fix it, it'll be a major inconvenience to you. Many times, the "attempted" fix doesn't work, and you have to go through the whole process again. The best advice I can give is that if you are even considering an extended warranty, take the money you would've spent on that and put it into a bank account. If you do that everytime, you'll have more than enough money to cover any problems. |

"After-market" warranties (those offered by a separate business, over products which they do not make themselves) are almost never worth it, for exactly the reasons Photoboothguy mentioned above. (My girlfriend had exactly that experience with a Circuit City warranty on her laptop.)
Warranties sold by companies themselves (i.e. Apple's "AppleCare") are more often worth it, since it's the company itself repairing their own devices. That's about the only extended warranty I'd ever try, though.

If you need warranty service, you call Mack's 800# and they will tell you where to send it, even overseas.
