Default I'm stuck! Mac VS. HP (part 2)

So in relation to my other thread:
So tell me why I need a Mac

I've narrowed it down to an HP package:

Laptop, desktop, netbook and wireless router for $1299.

-OR-
Mac Book Pro

Compared to the HP package... less memory, less HD space and smaller screen for $1199.

help me choose!

how do you expect a honest answer without the specs for all of the above?
it does depends which macbook are we talking about and more important - which HP specs are we talking about?
getting all of that for 1300$ sound like you get a lot of junk for that money.
it seems weird to get a screen, PC, laptop, netbook and a router for just 1300$.

Why not forget about all the peripheral crap with the HP (as MrJones says, how good can they be for that price?) and spend the same amount on a single super-PC, like this one from Dell? $1159 for Quad 2.26Ghz processor, 320gb HDD, 2gb memory, 19" widescreen monitor (very useful for PP).

went through the same process last year.
I decided to get a 13" macbook pro for portability and added an external 24" screen and a wireless keyboard and mouse later on for the comfort of home use.

well, hell, if you don't care about specs, try a Gameboy. Or, better yet, Gameboy Advance...

Windows all the way unless you have money to throw in the trash, then get a Mac.

BTW those MacBook Pro screens are horrible so plan on buying an external monitor if you want to do anything remotely accurate especially if you get a glossy screen good luck with that.

My cat uses my MacBook Pro as a body warmer and I'm happy with that because that's about the only thing it does right.

can I get your cat's macbook pro?
I'd put it to better use.
