Default Question about using Mp3 on my website, any suggestions?

I am a new photographer and am building my website. I want to use music to accompany my sideshows. Is this legal? I purchased the mP3's, can I use them on my photography website? Thanks for your help!

I believe that you have to purchase an additional license to use a particular song on your website. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
How you go about doing that, well I am not really sure. My template came with a song but after asking for critique here on the forum, the general concensus was to remove the music altogether.

No and no. You purchased a limited rights usage of the song for personal use. That doesnt include websites.

Besides, you shouldnt be anyway. Music on websites is generally frowned upon

Music on websites is more than frowned upon - it's generally considered one of the top ten things to absolutely not do on a website. It's irritating and thoughtless unless the website gives the option of turning the music ON - providing an off button, if there is one, is not enough.

I, and most people I know, will shut a web page as quickly as possible just to get rid of the noise. People only stick around if there's information that is absolutely vital on the site.

Please don't put music on your site. I'll hit the back button right away like a ton of other potential visitors would as well. You're not going to loose a single visitor if your site contains no music however.
