Default Portfolio Question

I have been getting involved with several local photography clubs and meet-up groups. I wanted to put together a portfolio of sorts to take along with me for critique and feedback purposes.
I want something nicer and more professional looking than just a 2up photo album that I can pick up at Walmart. If the need arrises, I want to be able to show this to a potential client as well, but it is not my main goal for creating it.
I do not want to go with a digital photobook though because I want to be able to add to it as needed.
How do you all typically put together portfolios?
Do they make albums that are specifically for this time of thing? Where can I find one? Everything that I find on google is either leading me to a digital book or portfolio books for art. I want something sized for photographs.
Any other suggestions?
TIA!!

Find a good local arts store: they should have many portfolios in an array of sizes to choose from. I use a simple 8.5x11 one for mine, with removable pages so that I can load it only with what is necessary for that expo.

Try this: Custom Coffee Table Wedding Magazine Style Personalized Memory Photo Book Albums - Custom Digital Wedding Photo Book Albums and Custom Designed Digital Wedding Photo Wall Prints by Custom Digital Wedding Photo Book Publishing - Coffee Table Photo Boo

Or these: http://www.albumsunlimited.com/albumsSelfMount.htm

However, I think that ring mount books look cheap. I like printing portfolios. Try AdoramaPix. The binding lays flat and you can always change and print another. Or—you could have one for each subject.

I got a good quality leather one from an independant art supplies shop. Its those kind of shops you want to look for not the regular run of the mill chain stores you see everywhere. Kind of along the lines of what Osmosis said.

I know a lot of people who are using print on demand service sfor portfolio books these days (blurb, lulu, etc.). If you upgrade from the cheapest options you get surprisingly good quality.

Where do you get your prints done? Check with your local print labs, they most likely offer portfolio services or print on demand books.
