My wife and I are heading to Napa Valley to celebrate a wedding anniversary toward the end of October. This will be our first trip to Napa. Obviously the wine tasting will be a focus, but the photography will be almost as important! I have heard that the entire area is beautiful but are their areas of it, or certain wineries, etc., that those of you who have been there would recommend?
Thanks! |

It's going to depend on where you're at in Napa Valley - it encompasses a fairly large area, with clusters of small towns throughout. If you want to shoot in a vineyard, make sure to get permission from the property owners first, as a good number of them are private property - my family's vineyard is right off the highway, and we get tourists throughout the vineyard *all the time*.
My Calistoga Set from October 2008; not a lot to see, but you'll get the general idea. That said, I did have the advantage of being in the middle of the vineyard

I used to live in Sonoma a long time ago. I'm sure a lot has changed. So I may not be of much help. Why not try searching in flickr for Napa Valley. You may get some good info + ideas. If nothing else, some images have a map next to them. Maybe take note,
