If I ever needed to rent a lens or other such equipment, i personally would have no idea where to look and would come ask you fine folks before rooting thru googles results.. I would venture to guess that a lot of people would post links to company's that they used and had good experiences with... So i agree tho it may sound like an advertisement it is also helpful to other users here..

What makes this place better than some of the other lens rental places?

Lens Terminal only covers the US though. For my fellow photographers in the UK, I can't say enough good things about Lenses For Hire. They're my first port of call when I need a particular lens for a one-off. Their prices and terms are the best I've seen (compared with both Camerent and Calumet) and their service is personal and excellent.
When you hire a lens for three days, for example, they send the lens to reach you the day before your three-day period starts, and you don't send it back until the day after your three-day period ends, so you get to use it for the full three days of hire. Camerent, by contrast, deliver the lens on the first day, and have it collected on the last day, so if you want three full days' use, you have to hire for five days.
