Default Book suggestion,...

So, I finally walked into Hastings today to look around while waiting on a script at Wal-Mart. I think I like them better than Barnes & Noble. They had a better selection of photography books. Theyre a new and used book/video games/movies/music store. I found a book titled "America Wide" It's an entire book of panoramas by photographer Ken Duncan. There is at least one picture from every state. It's pretty awesome and I fell in love. It was used so it only cost me $8. Except for the religious references dotted here and there, its an awesome book. I'd recommened it as a great coffe table book.

I found another one a while ago in a Barnes & Noble titled "Monday Hearts for Madalene" by Page Hodel. Basically that one is a story of a couple of women. One would leave hearts on the others doorstep every monday made out of various things. The book is a compilation of photos of her favorite ones.

Just thought I would share, these two are both great coffee table books just for the pictures. The second book I think the two women might have been an actual couple, just in case there are any of you that might not like the idea of that.

I do envy you, that is one thing I miss living in Thailand, a good book store. There's just no shops with a decent selection of English language books any where around here and I miss the lost hours I used to spend wandering aimlessly perusing books of all sorts. Even when we lived in Malaysia there were good stores there, OK the best ones were in KL, but the local ones were good enough to lose a few hours in on a regular basis. It's just not the same on-line.

I like Barnes and Noble, Books a Million, Amazon.com.
I try never to go to Wal-mart under any circumstances.
