Default Private Galleries on a website

I currently host my own website. I have to get some sort of password protected gallery up that I can send clients to. Any recommendations on which to use? Paid or unpaid...I need something! Thank you!!!

Photo Cart allows for private galleries.

If you're not looking for a shopping cart solution as well, why not send them to PBASE?

I don't care for it much as a shopping solution, but Coppermine Gallery works for just showing.

Any number of Lightroom galleries can be used as well.

Now that I think about it, would one that has a shopping cart be more effective. Any suggestions either way, what works better?

Are you trying to sell? If so, then you probably need a cart.

Photo Cart is absolutely the best cart on the market. I've tried all of the really expensive carts and they all come up severely lacking in comparison.

you can most likely password protect directory, thru your hosting control panel with Blue Host , then integrate the shopping feature later, at least in the short run the images will be protected from prying eyes.

Proofbuddy is FREE (up to 100 pics). I've been happy with it and actually gotten a theme to match my website. It's great!

I also am looking for a proofing solution with a shopping cart. Proofbuddy looks great so far! Ideally I would like to find one that offers proofing/cart printing, photo books/albums printing... Any ideas?

I actually post a "picture" that gives information on how to order a book and is priced as a book. Clients add the book to their cart, mark pictures as favorites, then submit them the favorite to me. Any pictures that are favorites will be included in the book. Does that make sense?
