Why don't you want to use flickr?
I use it this way all the time. Create a set, upload all of the photos as "private", and give guest passes to the people I want to give access to. |

I suppose I could get a second flickr account... But I just can't afford another bill lol.... I already have a Flickr pro account and I use that more for social, I only upload a few photos at a time so they get viewed and comments on them.
I mean I guess I could do another flickr account... |

Why can't you use the Flickr account you already have? Pretty much any option you choose is going to cost you something. For custom private access, most places will charge you.

I guess no one is understanding. I use my Flickr account for almost like social networking. I might only upload a photo a day and people view it and comment it through out the day. It's a slow process, but it's getting me noticed and it's working.
So i'm not going to dump 500 photos at once, cause most of them wont ever get viewed. I doubt anyone will still comprehend what i'm talking about. But if I have to, i'll get another flickr pro account and make it private or something... |

What you would do is click the button that says "private" when you upload. Nobody will be able to see those photos in your stream unless you give them a guest pass.

So maybe Flickr wont work for that anyways. I might just have to create something my self... |

The way it works with Flickr is that the private set generates a unique url, differently (or so I've heard) from the public urls. Since it is your flickr, you'll be able to see the set and therefore get the url. Anyone with that url will have access to that set.
