Default Quick and Easy Photo Sharing Options?

So, I am going to be in charge of doing my kids school's yearbook again this year. We just got back the volunteer survey that the parents fill out at the beginning of each year and I have 14 parents who would like to help out. I did the whole thing by myself last year, so this will be super nice to have help. My plan is to assign the parents who would like to help with photography a class. They will be responsible for taking photos of activities involving just that class. Other parents will be assigned the sales and book keeping duties.
What I am looking for is the best way for them to get those digital files to me, since I am the one who will be completing the digital layouts of each page of the yearbook.
I know we could do a CD or a flash drive, but I'd rather go with something online. Do you know of any site that is free and would suit this purpose? We are going to need to transfer full size images and we need to have a strict privacy setting, viewable and downloadable by only us and no one else.
Thanks so much!

yousendit.com or maybe usendit.com for sending large files.

Otherwise, FTP to your own website.

DOY! My husband does that all the time for transfering blue prints to clients. I hadn't even thought of that. I'll check out those other two as well.

You know what my thought would be, free Flickr accounts (with the pictures marked private) and a private group.

Even though the free Flickr accounts only *show* 200 photos, they'll hold as many as you want, and all photos that are in a group are visible. Leading me to the Private Group idea. Private group, only invite those parents who are participating. They can add their photos (set to private is preferable I'm sure). In any case, anyone in the group that the photos are in can see the photos but that's it. Then it would provide you with an easy discussion functionality too. For example, say you guys want to figure out what you have for the football team. Start a thread, have people post the pictures in the thread. I know you're having each person responsible for a particular class, but you might want some theme pages as well, and that's where adding in the social function could be quite helpful to you. Just a thought.

A shared Pro Flickr account, that way you have no upload limit, you have no limit on the number of photos you can see, you can download the full size and anyone that is doing the photos can see the photos already uploaded.

Mark the default of uploaded photos as private. You can see the thumbnails to see if the photo is crap or worth the effort of trying to salvage.
