Avatar HELP

Ok ive tried 7 ways from sunday to upload a pic to use as my avatar...ive used flickr to shrink it to the size that it requires and ever time i try to upload it tells me "invalid file" PLEASE PLEASE HELP

There's a problem since the server move. The powers that be are working on it.

There is also a maximum filesize of something like 19kb, so you'll likely need to save it as a .gif rather than a .jpg to keep the filesize down to an acceptable size.
