I did my first wedding this past week. I had slips of paper on the table telling guests how they could view the photos, and the date the pictures would be available. In my quest to be overachieving (which I tend to do a lot), I put the view date as this Friday. I have completed the pictures with time to spare, BUT the couple is still on their honeymoon and won't be home until Saturday. I did not account for this in my over-eager planning.
Now, my dilemma is whether to put a notice up there apologizing for my oversight and telling people the pictures will be up as soon as I meet with the couple so the couple can see the pics first, or just stick with my original plan and post on Friday. Yes, I should have discussed this with the bride prior to the wedding, but I didn't. Rookie mistake (which I've made several of those along the way, but nothing too dastardly). Thoughts?

Just put up an apology on the site and talk with the Bride and Groom when they return from the honeymoon.
No Problemo

I agree - just post an apology - I am sure people will understand that the bride and groom should see the photos first.

i've never let couple view them first.
i put my teasers up and thats that.. i've never been asked to take any down, never had a negative comment or complaint. ![]() I dont however put ALL images up for viewing... thats the B/G's choice what they want people to see. Just because they arent back from Honeymoon, doesnt mean they are disconnected from all technology ![]() i say put up a few teasers.
