Default HI everyone!

hey guys can you can see my name is chris, I've been a lurker on here for a while now, learning tons of new techniques and loving the site over all.

I'm goin an a little weekend trip lake Tahoe and I was hopin to get some advice. I inherited my dads old canon AE1 with a canon 50mm 1:18 lens. I'd really like to use it this weekend but not sure what kind of film is best to get I'm a starving student so I only plan on getting a couple of rolls. The weather forecast on weather.com says it's going to be sunny. I mostly plan on taking landscape pics, while doing some hiking and bike ridding, so I'll most likely be in some shady wood trails. I'm taking my canon G9 to do the grunt work. So I wont totally miss out any particular shots, but i still want to experiment with my dads old camera. any help would be greatly appreciated.

i dont know much about your location, but if you have a black's nearby, i would recomend bying their film. same thing happened with me, and i recently bought the prints. the quality was great, but not professional, but the great thing was for a few dollars extra you can get the pictures on a CD.

and for this trip, i would recomend a low ISO film
