Default What are the photography laws and rules in beijing?

Does any one happen to know the photography laws in Beijing because i have been trying to find them online but the ones i do find are not clear. the reason im asking this is because i will be going there on the 14th this month and i want to take photographs while i am there.

Please and thank you,
Naveen

I couldn't find anything explicitly spelling out photo laws, but it sounds pretty common sense. No police/military, and if a property owner says no, it means no. Beyond that, I'd say just don't make waves.

You'll might have a slightly easier time blending than someone like me (6 ft tall white guy), but you'll probably still stick out as a tourist. I'd try to play that up, the Chinese government wants tourists. If someone confronts you, just smile, act slightly dopey and apologize profusely while looking for an exit.
