Default Well this just sucks

This morning, I was heading to the office to drop off a single piece of paper before heading to Trumbull. I was traveling southbound on the road, when a mouth breather who couldn't (or didn't want to) clear his windshield of the dew and couldn't see me, pulled across my lane of traffic and I was unable to avoid a collision. My Tacoma was totaled (it is now about 18" shorter) and I think his was also. I had a minor pain in my sternum, my neck hurt slightly, and now I have a pain in my wrist. I'm feeling better now, but my wrist hurts a little still.

I have called my insurance co, and they said I was not at fault. Now I have to go after his insurance for replacing my truck.

I got my hand looked at, and nothing is broken, just uncomfortable. I'm doing fine, but now I have to search for a new truck.

Glad to hear you are pretty much okay, as that is the important thing. Shame about your truck, but they are plenty of those around and easy to replace. So go shopping and be happy you walked away.

That does suck. It's great that you weren't seriously injured though. Hopefully getting your payout and a new truck goes smoothly.

I know how you feel. I've only been in one serious accident (where I flipped the other guys car over and totaled my mom's mini van). But more recently, my car was just totaled by nature. Just got the check from insurance to replace it. Now I need to go through the pain of car shopping yet again.

Not as bad as this guys mini van, though

That does suck. Glad your OK.

Those Toyota trucks are pretty tough. Last year my parents flipped their Tundra 5 times going over 75 MPH, and walked away. Well they walked to the ambulance, but were out of the hospital in a couple days.

Just so you can see how badly damaged my truck is, and why the officer was amazed I walked away.

This shot is from about where I was when he decided to make his left turn.

Don't like car shopping myself. I am glad that you will recover.
