uploading avatar?

Hi, everyone. I'm new and hope this is the appropriate place to post this.

I've been trying to upload my avatar. It's below the specified size (70x69 pixels, 18.6 KB). I click on the button for uploading a custom avatar. I've tried uploading from my computer, from photobucket, and from Flickr. I've tried each method more than once. I always get an "invalid file" message. I tried contacting DPS through the "contact us" option but when I submitted my message, I got a blank page, so I'm not sure if the message was sent or not. Can anyone help? It's not a major issue but I've never had trouble with avatars before and it's slightly frustrating. Thanks! I look forward to learning a lot and hopefully sharing some, too.

what file format is your avatar in? jpg? gif? png? ps?

It's a jpg.

This issue should be getting checked out. I don't know if you're having a problem as a result of the recent server move.

I am experiencing the same issue.

I am within the requirements but keep getting 'invalid file' ..
No biggie, I can try again in a few days.

Same problem for me. I am well within limitations. But it just keeps saying invalid file. Hope the server problems gets resolved soon.

Same here- thought it was me and my technical difficulties! Good to know it's a system issue.

bumping this up to see if I can get any more feedback... it's been a week and I still can't upload an avatar... are there still server problems? Or is this a separate issue? Thanks!
