Default Good News and Bad News

My computer is sick!
The good news first-I was able to keep my computer alive long enough to complete a back up yesterday.

The bad news-my computer needs to be sent in for repair since it is still under warranty. (I guess the warranty thing is good news too) I have no idea how long that will take. In the meantime, I have no PSE. We have other computers but none will run that program either because they are older, not compatable, not powerful enough, or belong to my husband and he says no way jose.
So yeah, no digital scrapbooking, no photo editing, until my computer gets back.

I am not a happy camper. But at least I am not losing any data. I can still get online, but am not going to be able to do anything with any photos that I take.
Hubby says that he thinks that I have some bad RAM. He said that he could buy new RAM and fix it himself, but since it is under warranty, he doesn't want to pay for that out of pocket.
I have such a love/hate relationship with technology. I love it and use it daily, but then I expect for it to work correctly. When it doesn't, oh my, I am upset and out of sorts.
I guess I can keep practicing my photography in the meantime, just can't edit or share any photos.

Stupid computers! But at least it pooped out BEFORE the warranty ran out. I seldom have that kind of luck. (I once totaled a car two weeks after I made the final payment!) Will your husband at least let you dump your pics to store on one of his machines until yours returns? If not, you might need to send him to Husband Camp, like my wife did me. (She said it was Husband Camp, but I noticed a sign that said something about discipline on the way in.)

Anyway, having gone to camp, I am now a firm believer in "What's mine is hers, and what's hers is also hers."

Keep clicking, and good luck!

Well, if it takes too long, then I guess I will just buy another memory card. He owns his own drafting business and has this big fancy schmancy computer set up with all sorts of custom and very expensive programs on there. Frankly, I am a little afraid to touch his set up because that...and his knowledge provides us with 100% of our income. So when he says "No one touches" I listen. If his set up gets messed up, we are all in trouble then I might have to go back to work and I don't wanna LOL!

I believe that saying was hidden somewhere in the fine print of the marriage vows.

I don't think I was paying attention that day. That quote, however, is particularly true when it comes to dividing the bed....her half is her half, and my half is also her half!

You're lucky. They usual;ly die right after the warranty gives out. I'm a firm believer they design them that way

Hope you won't be without it too long! And yeah, that's usually my luck...it dies right after the warranty expires. I've pretty much come to expect it. Good for you that you will be able to get it fixed while it still is.

Ba-ah-aah-aahd ram. teehee sorry, I just had to!!

Hope you get it back soon! I know how it is to be without editing software!
My dad took mine in to work with him for just a few days to fix it and I was just going crazy without it!
He left me with an ancient Mac that I swear is out to get me. That computer hates me.
The thing is very, very old! I think it is 15+ years old! He got it for $20 on craigslist or something. lol

So, they don't know what was wrong with it?

Macs die, too. We've had a couple go on us, one under warranty, the other not.

They also crash, get infected with viruses, and have a host of other problems. They're no better than Windows machines. No worse either, mostly.
