Default Yikes!

My computer freaked out today. I got the dreaded blue error screen right before it shut off. Hubby is doctoring it right now. Good grief, you have no idea how happy I am that I just backed up photos to the EHD like three days ago.
Right now, I am freaking though. Even though I backed up my photos, I have lot of other stuff on that computer that is not backed up. I hope it makes it through. I haven't even had it for a year yet.
He said that he thinks the fan is full of cat hair though. So that should be a simple fix. I hope.

You shouldn't let your cats use your computer.

It is a laptop and they get on the keyboard ALL THE TIME and lay on it. Drives me nuts. It is my fault for not forgetting to close it before I walk away though.

I guess they're drawn to the warmth of the laptop. There was a neighbors car that used to jump on the hood of my car whenever it was warm. It would drive me crazy. Claws and paint finish are not exactly very compatible.

Well, the fan was a little dirty but not enough to be the problem. When he put it back together and started it up, it said PFN_LIST_CORRUPT. What the heck does that mean? He just started cursing and said that he didn't have time to deal with it right now. He has a job that is due in the morning. He knows all about computers but gets highly agitated when he is working on them. He curses and throws things. LOL. It is funny! Well, not funny that my good computer is not working, but you know what I mean.

I hope he can get it sorted out for you. I don't know anything much about computers, but a bit of googling suggests its a memory problem. Lucky you did that back up!

Sorry to hear about your computer. Hope all can be recovered.

I do, however, have some suggestions regarding the cats....I like cats, if they're cooked correctly.

Ugh, you must be on pins and needles waiting to see if everything is OK! I hope that it all works out for you. In the meantime, be sure to keep your cats away from jsherp...he may be hungry.

Computer problems are always terrible, good luck. At least there shouldn't be much chance of it overheating with the fan being clean.
