Something like 50 inches x 30 inches at 300 DPI !! Raw files would likely be close to 200 MB each. Can you imagine the amount of storage you would need if you used this sensor like a 12 Megapixel camera or even a 20 Megapixel. You also need a beefy machine to work on a single images this large. If you watch to stitch images together have fun with that!
![]() I'd like to see less time wasted on megapixels and more on High ISO performance, color reproduction and more forgiveness with highlights.

If designed to be anything beyond proof of concept (more important than raw pixel density here is the ability to effectibely channel all of that information -- surprisingly enough at 9.5fps), this would probably be destined for scientific and/or government use. Budgets that can stretch well beyond "pro" lenses.

200MB for raw file, and I thought my 20mb was a little too much. It would definitely be interesting to see some stitched panorama using this sensor, wonder what it would be like compared to the Budapest image if shot at using the same approach.
