Default When saving digital files...

When saving digital photos to an external hard drive, should you resize them smaller? If you do, then do you need to resize them again to print them?

No, I do not resize them. I just put the original on the EHD. As far as I know, if you make them small and save them like that, they stay small. You can't make them big again. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

You could make them big again, but you'd lose quality. Storage space is cheap (far cheaper than the "cost" of losing information in a photograph you're proud of) so resizing files when archiving them isn't worth the saving, really.
