Portfolio Description Help

I've come across a photography competition here in Portugal (open to anyone in Portugal - see link at bottom) that asks for 20-30 portfolio with a 6000 character description.

I have a month to hand in still which may seem like a long time, but isn't!

If anyone has any previous experience or any ideas as to how to go about writing one, ie, what to cover & so on, I would appreciate it very much.

So far I would think my photos will be landscape photos, both day and night, if that is any aid.

Some work envolved but who in their right mind wouldn't work for a 5D Mark II?!
