Default Meteor Shower Tonight

Anybody going to stay up and try to get photos of the meteor shower tonight?
2010 Meteor Showers

Any suggestions for camera settings? I may or may not stay up for this. We have an early day tomorrow. But we'll see.

I'm going to try and view it, although our local news reported it to be last night and after a couple of hours in the wee morning I gave up only to find out the best viewing time is tonight! I may set up my camera on the tripod with my 20mm lens and tether it to my laptop and let it do it's thing. I'll try varying the exposure times and see what happens. This will be my first try at it so I'll hope for the best.

Been trying to read up about shooting a meteor shower all day. What about a small aperture and very long shutter speed, like 15-30 seconds? Not sure where to go with the ISO though.
I might set my alarm and get up very early in the morning for this.

Similar to shooting fireworks.

ISO 100, F16, 30 second exposures.

Star trails should be interesting with the meteors mixed in.

Just been out for 20 minutes or so and saw a few, not great torrents of them, but a few.

Didn't try getting any photos though. They wizz by pretty quick and I just haven't got the the gear to get any decent shots.

Yes. I'm going to take a bunch of 15 sec exposures at either ISO 100 or 200 [depending on whether I remember to change the settings] and hope for the best. I set my intervalometer to pretty much shoot nonstop until I am ready to go home so I can just lay back and watch the meteors with my friends.

Good luck everyone.

Well darn. Over the last few hours, some nasty clouds have rolled in. It is now raining pretty hard. I guess no meteor shower for me.
