Default iPhone - Quality v's Convenience

I've joined the ranks with millions of others and have my very own iPhone (4) it has a very good (for a phone) camera and I found something interesting happening this last weekend... We went to Budapest for the weekend and as ever, I had more trouble working out which camera etc to take... I took my dSLR and the 24/70mm f/2.8 and I carried it around with me everywhere (my shoulder loves me) but what I found myself doing was, that for snapshots, stuff that I considered "throw away" I'd snap it with the iPhone, and then for anything I thought might be a keeper, I used the dSLR... has anyone else found this? Share a shot from your camera phone if you're in the mood...

Here's a couple of mine...

Having a rubbish (essentially) camera made me feel a little more creative and spontaneous again... sorta cool!

Urgh I hate the Hipstamatic-boom. >.<

I find myself using the phone to take photos of stuff I later want to come photograph with the dslr. Just notes and so on. Plus the low light performance is worse than poor in my 3gs so yea. I don't use it much for anything else than reminders.

edit:
Oh yea and one good site for iPhone camera stuffs is http://www.iphoneography.com/

Check out Terry White's tech blog over the last day or so for some really nice iPhone 4 photos.

Im always taking snapshots with my iphone! LOL! It takes about the same pics as my old easy share did... you just have to make sure you have good lighting and you have a great pic!

I also have the flickr app, and you can click save on your photo and it saves it to your phone. I do that with a few of my favorites so I always have something to show people if they ask to see my work!

I have a Samsung Reclaim. By no means a smart phone, but I quite like the images it can produce. I will post some later.

Wow the iPhone takes some great photos! I really like your first photo Sime™.

I am thinking about getting an iPhone when my current phone contract runs out.
