Default Laptop Advice

I thought this might be a ridiculous question but, then again, it might be a very good question.

For the professional photographer who has to edit their photos while out and about, is there laptop advice for what gets it all done the best?

What do you have and recommend?
What do you say to stay away from?

Even though I actually work for Dell I have to say that for post processing photos etc I love Mac. I know a Mac book pro is a huge chunk of cash for some of us (God knows it sure is for me) But thats what I would recommend. Mac have very good quality screens and video cards that can handle a nice amount of workload.

Good luck !

A lot of tradeoff here:
What's your must have list?
I love my MBP 17", but it's quite big and heavy for general transport. I love my wifes MBAir, but it is underpowered and limited in connectivity.
On the MAC front for a primary travel machine that can do some serious work I'd probably select a MBP 13". For a machine that is light and convenient that can do some editing when necessary I *might* choose a MBA.

I'd also consider an HP/Toshiba with touchscreen on the PC front...

I cannot afford a Mac right now so it'd have to be something else.
I'd rather do the real editing on my PC but if I'm sending a photo as photojournalistic to a newspaper, for instance, and they want it as is and emailed, I need to be able to do so.

-I'd say I need to be able to see it outside well (I've heard of glare issues around sunlight and indoors)

-Need long battery life

-15 -16 inch screen at least

-graphic included

I don't know much about laptops so your help would be great.

Thanks

Honestly I would go with a 13" matt screen with the best resolution and good connectivity for ports....other than that spend the money on the Desktop.
portability will be key for you, not power. And a 15" is maybe 1" larger on the long edge than a 13"...

Don't waste money on a glossy screen if you want to do anything remotely accurate.

I wasn't sure what a Netbook was so I google Netbook vs. Notebook and got this:
Netbook vs. Notebook : Official Definitions by Intel - What Can You Do With Each? | TechPinas : Philippines' Technology News, Tips and Reviews Blog

According to it you cannot create and edit photos/videos.

Did you mean Notebook?
